Ages Birth – 18 months
We provide care for our babies while also designing activities to help each child reach milestones at their own pace.
Lesson Planning
Our youngest babies are fed, cuddled, changed and taught. Our teachers develop activities to help babies bond, acquire language skills and assist with mobility .
Liberatory Education
We affirm our babies with photographs of loved ones around the classroom at their eye level. We intentionally choose books and toys that represent their identities and family configuration. We teach them freedom songs and encourage free exploration both indoors and outside.
Exploration
Our babies are curious! We engage their curiosity with toys, household materials such as cardboard boxes, and ample space to roll, crawl, bounce and walk.
Brightwheel
We provide photo, video and text updates with families throughout the day with the Brightwheel app. When families are away from their babies, we understand they may want to see them virtually or have the ability to contact our caring teachers about their child.
Engage their
growing curiosity
Infants constantly remind us what it means to be free. They are born with an understanding that they deserve love and self determination. Their curiosity and free spirit is nurtured and encouraged at Young Peoples’ Liberation School through developmentally appropriate activities.
